Twenty-one wins, two losses, and a target on their back that continues to grow every week.

For the girls’ basketball team, this season has been a masterclass in handling pressure and living up to expectations. From the very first game, the Lady War Eagles have established themselves as the team to beat, setting a standard of excellence throughout their entire season.

Leading the region with an undefeated 15-0 region record, the team has dominated its competition since day one.

Their success is built on more than just talent. Strong defense, efficient ball movement, and constant communication on the court have allowed the team to control the pace of games and wear down opponents. Their hard work and close bonds have helped take the team to another level.

Whether playing at home or on the road, the Lady War Eagles have shown immense amounts of intensity and focus every time they step onto the court.

The team recently celebrated senior night with an exciting 81-32 win against Tucker. The night was dedicated to seniors Kate Harpring, Izzy Peterson, and Flynn Keppen, who have each played a key role in the team’s success throughout the years. Their leadership, experience, and commitment have helped create a winning culture within the program and have set an example for all players to follow.

Additionally, Kate Harpring, committed to playing Division One basketball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, recently reached an extraordinary milestone by scoring her 3,000th career point.

With just one regular-season game remaining against Lithonia, our War Eagles remain focused with intensity as they prepare for the playoffs. Confidence continues to build, and the team’s chemistry is stronger than ever for the playoff run. 

As the Lady War Eagles head into their playoff run, excitement is building across the school community. While some teams depend on luck, this group has proven that it relies on preparation, effort, and unity, and it consistently meets expectations, setting a high standard.
